The eThekwini Carbon Desk is situated within the eThekwini Municipal Energy Office. The primary aim of the eThekwini Carbon Desk can be summarised as follows:
  1. Faciliate the generation of carbon revenue
  2. Prepare industry for anticipated mandatory GHG management legislation
